THE FUTURE OF FITNESS IN AFRICA
The 2022 CrossFit Games season is ON, but what does it really mean for Africa?
No notable change, always and still only one spot for the Games. If the spot allocation system remain, what is the best option for Africa so far ?
Not so easy to project yourself into the future of this sport, even if the Crossfit® Games remain in the mentalities of those who are least represented, as the ultimate goal of their career. Crossfit® HQ has been able to build a dream that is unfortunately not our reality, and HQ isn’t intended to make it that way for now …
Rather than dreaming, isn’t it the time to wake up? What doesn’t necessary mean turning our backs on this organization, but a local management and vision, can give a strong answer to the needs of our environment.
For example, there’s a lot going on here, but don’t expect from Morning Chalk Up to give you informations about African fitness on a daily basis, because factually, most of their sponsors are not active in Africa, this is why we can’t be targeted in the editorial line. this is not a complain but just a common sense.
Contrary to what some would have us believe, it is not a problem related to our athletes fitness level. It is rather about the lake of initiative out of the box. In this situation, producing and consuming locally makes sense: supporting local initiatives, whether they are sportswear event, media or other, will produce the expected added value and give birth to a stable and autonomous ecosystem. What is your thought ?
